It's Written on the Walls

Faulkner is remembered today for his iconic novels and short stories as well as his unconventional methods. For his novel, "A Fable", Faulkner adorned the walls of his Rowan Oak office with the outline. Rowan Oak curator Bill Griffin describes Faulkner's writing talent as "demon driven and obsessed", spilling out of him uncontrollably as seen here. Although Faulkner's methods to writing were a bit odd, he certainly got the job done. "Faulkner didn't try and be the voice of the south, just his own south" said Griffin. |
